Why would the Fed lie about it's private status? Hint, a court case determined the true nature of the bank, yet the Fed lies here when it says it is not private: http://www.federalreserve.gov/generalinfo/faq/faqf rs.htm

The Federal Reserve Bank lies because they are thieves, plain and simple.
The Fed is owned and operated by the major banks. It is in the banks interest that motivates the FED.
Abolish the Federal Bank!
We have enough liars in Congress and the White House, we do not need more working against the American citizens.

Thanks for your answer. The Fed allowed a lot of easy money mortgages and they should have stopped these but deliberately chose to side with the BIS and not stop them. That artificially drove the prices of houses up and we have what we now have. Overpriced homes must come down in value, and are coming down, although slowly.
