My ex-husband died in Texas. I am still in the marital home located in Virginia which we held as tenants by the entirety. He is still on deed and mortgages. What happens now?

I am not sure if he had a will. He was remarried.

If you get a copy of your ex's death certificate, you file with the county court where your house is located. You will then be sole owner of your house, mortgage and all. Assuming no objections from the ex's wife , it should be simple. Complications from the ex could be inconvenient but not problematic, as she has no basis.
